As you can tell from these photographs, I love taking pictures of children, especially when they are at play. Here are just a few pictures of some beautiful children...

1.16.09 PROVO CANYON- Garage Black & White

Favorite Subjects-
I love taking pictures and I have many favorite subjects. I love taking pictures of children being children. (I'll post some of my favorite children pictures next) I also love taking pictures of couples in love. Capturing the couple being themselves, comfortable in front of the camera brings me great joy. And who doesn't love taking a picture of a gorgeous sunset?
But there is a subject that can get me to pull over to the side of the road, pull out my camera and stomp through snow, even with the possibility of slipping on ice- deteriorating subjects. I love old buses lying in the the sand of the salten sea, or homes that are falling to pieces in an old mining town, or an old unattached garage covered in snow. I don't know why I am so attracted to these subjects, but they speak to me of a life once lived.

Great Salt Lake 1.17.09
BEYOND

I've been taking pictures since I was 10 years old. I've never been a patient artist, and though from time to time I try to draw or paint, I usually get very frustrated and move on to something that requires less patience. But photography has always been different for me, still just as frustrating because there is so much more than just pushing the shutter down, but so much more enjoyable when everything at one moment is perfect and then captured- forever- in a photograph.
This picture was taken at the Great Salt Lake in Utah. I love this photograph because it points to beyond time and space.
